125 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Sound Creation"

This is a project i worked on for my electronic music composition class. It was made using audacity. It is comprised of 27 different sound tracks. 2 of these tracks use sounds created/recorded by users "shoba" and "branrainey" of freesound. Org (shoba's 'sending machine. In this record you can hear the noise of the chain of one bicycle being pedaled. Is like a hum. It is a sound object used in the sonic ensemble soundscape for the sound creation lab project. It was recorded using a zoom h4 recording device at roc boronat street, barcelona. The recording was edited with a fade in and out effect.

Do you need the sound of petting, but have nothing to pet? fear not. This recording is of a (presumably) human hand, petting and scratching a reindeer fur. The fur is long and rather coarse, which makes for great petting. *no credit needed, but would love it if you shared your creation should you use this sound!.

A recreation of the sound effect made when a communicator beeps. This is not the same as the "chirp" made when the communicator is flipped open, but the "ringtone. ". A simple sine wave at the appropriate frequency, beeped twice.

A simple recreation of the "flint phone" sound effect using sine waves. This effect originally appeared in the film, "in like flint" as the presidential "red phone" sound effect. It later appeared in the film, "austin powers: the spy who shagged me," as austin powers' car phone ringtone.

Ran my original sample thru rc20, tweaked some knobs, added eq for the lofi touch. I believe i used my personal rc20 preset to give it the crunch. I followed up with this resample using my lotus echo pad.

I whipped up this wacky reinterpretation of the twilight zone intro while doing a sound design concept. This was made using "caustic" an android music creation app by single cell software on my htc one. Http://www. Singlecellsoftware. Com/caustic. I used a default piano synth, played around by ear and applied aparametric equalizer effect. I'm not much of a musician but it turned out alright! :).

A soundscape conveys our interpretation of the origin of universe. It mixes scientific, vedic hinduism and creative approaches. Starting from the very beginning (big bang and “om” sound), passing through the universe expansion and focusing mostly on earth evolution, including molten rock and floods eras, as well as sounds from living creatures. We used a combinations of sounds from our custom pure data patches, vst synthesizers and a few samples from freesound. You can find the attribution below.

This is the final piece for our final project of sound creation laboratory. We have made changes in several ways: erasing redundant information (such as spoken words), filtered a section of the piece in order to make a sense of outside the club or inside the club. We also introduced an echo effect to make the effect of a drunk state. Furthermore, a bed sound has been placed at the final of the piece. This is a good improvement related with the final impression the piece gives to the audience. It's a recreation of tired atmosphere and also of the desire of sleeping.

A friend and i have carefully re-created a sound very similar to his boom sound from scratch using thor synths and reverb in reason 7 and cubase with some tweaking in soundforge. Sound transparency (first example on sound transparency and opacity). This sound sample is a companion to my talk and paper presented at foteo ("faire oeuvre, transparence et opacité") at université laval, visual art department, may 2008. The paper title is: "transparence sonore : acoustique physique; opacité sonore : un phénomène psychoacoustique; implications en création sonore". This nearly trivial example shows what i call "sound transparency". Since sound propagation is a linear phenomena, sound is transparent: the presence of a given sound (here a razor) does not modify the sound quality of an other sound (here a knife being rubbed). You can appreciate the sound quality, timbre, texture, dynamic of each sound even when an other one is present. The second part of the sample is the repetition of the first part, but the two sounds are presented on different channels.

Needed the exceptionally specific sound of putting an old book into an old hiking backpack. This is that sound. The recording starts with me the backpack off, before placing the book into the backpack and throwing the backpack back over my shoulder. Backpack description:an old-ish (likely 60's) hikers backpack with a metal "seat" that folds out. This is the sound of a spaceship's underbelly cargo hatch closing mid-flight after receiving a cargo transfer. The sequence begins with a warning alarm indicating the hatch closing, followed by the sound of the giant servos rotating the dual bay doors up and inward until the bay is sealed shut and locked. An all clear signal is given, reverberating into the dark, silent chamber. Made in logic pro, completely synthesized with es2 and mac's built in speech synthesis for vocal alarm. No unoriginal samples or sounds were used in the creation of this sound. Use freely as desired, but i would appreciate credit.
